Revolution Performance Marine
Proudly Announces Their New
26 Redline
Revolution Performance Marine (RPM) is proud to announce the release of their 26 Redline, the first in a series of performance sport boats from the Alabama based company. The 26 Redline is a modified catamaran that utilizes twin step sponsons and a single step center pod. The design incorporates a large cockpit with an integrated liner providing seating capacity for 5-7 passengers protected by a wrap around windscreen. This all new design blends family-oriented features with unprecedented speed and handling characteristics.
Utilizing the latest CAD software, RPM developed the computer model for the 26 Redline, which was subjected to extensive hydrodynamic and aerodynamic simulations to ensure the designs efficiency, high-speed stability and overall handling traits. Upon evaluation of the industries CNC tooling experts, RPM entrusted Doug Wright of CNC Design Automation with the final tooling and mold development for the 26 Redline. Doug was selected due to his dominating offshore presence, 5-axis routing capabilities and his extreme attention to detail during final tooling. Upon completion of the tooling, 10 separate molds were finished to RPM's exacting standards. The 26 Redline is comprised of hand laid multi-directional E-glass, vinylester resin and the latest lightweight coring from Baltek, Plascore and Coosa Composites. The result is an engineered layup schedule that yields an extremely lightweight, yet rigid hull.
After layup, the 26 Redline is expertly rigged in house by a team of craftsmen who take pride in delivering a truly custom-built performance catamaran. Incorporating a beam of 101" with a large engine compartment the Redline is capable of accepting a single big block, or twin small block stern drive power, allowing many performance options for the customer. Inside, the cockpit has a feature-packed custom integrated liner, snap-in rubber backed carpet, 2 front bucket seats, a rear bench seat with under seat storage, step down access to a sizeable cabin area housing an optional pillow topped berth. The fiberglass engine hatch is equipped with a padded sun deck leading to the rear swim steps. The base model 26 Redline comes well appointed with premium hardware from industry leaders like Livorsi, Stainless Marine and Imco.
During initial testing, the 26 Redline equipped with a single Mercury racing 525 showed its performance potential by consistently achieving the elusive 100MPH mark, resulting in an invitation to Mercury Racing's X-Site testing facility. With the expertise of X-Site's excellent support team, RPM spent several days testing various x-dimensions and taking full advantage of Mercury's line of performance and racing propellers. Key focal test points were planing ability, acceleration, handling characteristics and top speed. In various weather and water conditions this package showed exemplary performance and handling. The time spent at X-Site with Mercury Racing's professionals allowed RPM to precisely dial in this package to the benefit of its customers.
Revolution Performance Marine's definition of performance far exceeds the basic idea of speed alone. Quality construction with a focus on reliability, overall handling, ease of service and comfort come together in every boat manufactured. The combination of a team dedicated to taking pride in craftsmanship and values that follow both cutting edge technology and timeless design establishes the measurement by which RPM characterizes performance. |
